Daguerreotype
I read someone say that they are glad Hegel and Goethe died before the daguerreotype because they would have been terrified to see what they would have looked like beyond hand drawn etching and I really wanted to ask you a question when you read me a Carl Sandberg children’s story on the pullout sofa and I had the blanket on even though I don’t know how to turn on the air conditioning on in this Gramercy apartment that belongs to my Youtube subscriber with a security guard who put a sticker with my first and last name on the print of yesterday’s New York Times paper coverage on 9/11 although I’ve never subscribed to their horrible journalism I had the blanket over my mouth because that’s what you’re supposed to do when you go to bed and I don’t like the way my mouth rests when I fall asleep and you had never seen that before and I wanted to ask you a question
What do you want?
Then I remembered how you know I was born after 9/11 and then how you told me you were in second grade when it happened so then I got nervous and didn’t ask you because what if you think that I couldn’t possibly understand what you would want because of this so instead I fell asleep and we had sex in the morning right before you left for 10 days
