Living in the age of convenience

What is contingency supposed to be? The premise is that it is meant to be practical: we cannot reform the corrupted, so we must produce the new. Your children will inherit the Polia and the rest of the population will stay behind, for we must remain in the world we broke. We will wait for the end. 

But you still look at the world through windows, don't you? Squares and rectangles, running around future Medieval cities on rocky cliffs, godforsaken feudal enclaves some Alsatian saint already painted in his mind. Your democracy comes from the old world and you will be issued from a machine that made you into lines and dots, into stories, like past-present-future-today-yesterday-tomorrow. Do you think you can peel it off? It's a fallacy to think that there is such a thing as good and bad people, because even if you don't like the old ways, it's what gave us the steam, the engine, the airplane, fresh food. There is nothing new about a new society, New Society is Old Society, you can sit there and eat the soup about freedom and whatnot, and maybe it tastes so good you believe it. But if it burns your tongue, violence will destroy the New and outcrops the Old with the same face, because human history is a parade of heads on pikes. If you show me something else and I'll follow you. 

But you've been taught to place your hands, fingers interlocked, over your neck to protect your arteries from the flying glass when the bombs hit. At some point you will realize this is purposeless, because haven't you heard? Glass won't shatter, it will melt. You are someone who has trained yourself to wince when you recount your youthful shame as Cibolo Oil & Gas Investment Banker, you are traumatized from homophobia as a child male ballet dancer, yes Boeing could be run on solar panels, you want to become a federal tax attorney who writes policy to redistribute wealth, Goya black series is Romanticism At Its Peak, you know it is socially required to lower your voice when you talk about your father the military defense contractor because you think it will depreciate your chances of me fucking you. It really doesn't. I'd rather hear about how he was the one who designed the Spektreworks drone that killed Ali Larjini on a level volume than from the hushed whisper behind Oliver Peoples glasses. You will also lose reason to think these trained virtues will last, just when you least expect it because dominance has soaked our first iterations when we were limited beings from the location of our two eyes and our nervous systems marred by crisis, seeing in only one direction, but in time, these states will be available to all and make meaning from destruction will be lost. There are many like you stuck in the old ways that cannot envision this new way, but because of the way you are structured, I will be kind to you as you expire. 

The Old of the club and the sword, rich and poor, of violence, manipulation and deceit will no longer work in the New. We will no longer work in our system, we will no longer react to these impulses as the Old Ways die. Our new Society is the recession of the Old in our bodies as our new bodies take shape, just as they had several times eons ago. You won't realize, but your expiration will translate to even newer bodies with systems to neutralize impulses toward destructive violence and we have done so much to redirect through movement, language, diet, sex, communication, through the regrowth and expansion of our perceptions, of our sense of order through the reorganization of patterning in our genes, I am so happy that time-harmony will soon be natural to us all. I envision you and those who choose to associate with, happily sharing life and death, or as I prefer to see it, coming and going from planes of consciousness not yet available to all.
