겁 (Gup): A measure of time; imagine a boulder, imagine that a single raindrop falls on that boulder once every 1000 years. The amount of time it would take for the boulder to finally crack from the water droplets is 1 겁.

When I make a pot of tea, I gauge the size of the bubbles or place my hands above the pot to feel the warmth, so I can know just when it's about to boil and it's time to turn off the heat.

8,000 겁 = how long it takes to meet someone you love = how long it takes to brew one pot of tea

"The first brew of tea is as bitter as life,
The second is as strong as love,
the third, gentle as death"

At the limit of summer (1,000 겁) and its warmth,
how long is the sound of my voice in your mouth?
I think it's our duty to be shaped by stories

According to the Korean proverb, it took 8,000 겁 to meet you. 8,000 pots of brewed tea.
How many lifetimes does it take to share a cup of tea?
